Most RVs traditionally operate on a 12V power system, powering items like lights, fridge, and fans. For 240V appliances, a 12V system requires an inverter — but this setup struggles to support high-power devices such as air conditioners or electric water heaters, quickly draining the battery in just a couple of hours.
Harvok’s 48V electric power system solves this challenge.
A 48V system is four times more efficient than a 12V one. For example, running a 3000W appliance on a 12V system draws about 250 Amps, but only 62.5 Amps on a 48V system — allowing for longer run times and more stable performance.
Key Benefits of the 48V System:
- More power, less drain: Run more appliances (A/C, microwave, coffee machine) without sacrificing battery life.
- Feels like home: Comfortably off-grid with reliable hot water, air con, and kitchen use.
- Better safety: All components are interconnected and communicate through a smart network, improving efficiency and detecting faults automatically.
- All-electric RV vision: Removes the need for gas, reducing complexity and eliminating gas leak risks.
Why Not Just Add More Batteries to 12V?
It’s not just about battery size. The voltage system impacts how much current is drawn. High-current (low-voltage) systems heat up wires, reduce efficiency, and are prone to faster wear.
Harvok’s Design Goal:
Create a reliable, high-capacity, all-electric power system that supports modern off-grid living — with seamless integration and smart control.
