Window – EuroVision – Operation Guide

EuroVision windows are fitted throughout your Harvok caravan to provide excellent ventilation, safety, and convenience. These premium double-glazed windows are equipped with integrated blinds and insect screens for a seamless camping experience. This guide will help you confidently operate, maintain, and adjust your windows, especially the tensioning of blinds and screens.

How to Open and Close the Window

  1. To Open:
    • Turn the two locking levers upward to the “unlock” position.
    • Use the window handles to gently push the window outward.
    • Adjust the opening angle using the built-in stay arms. The arms will lock into preset positions to hold the window open.
  2. To Close:
    • Pull the window inward until it touches the frame.
    • Firmly lock the two locking levers downward into the “lock” position.

How to Use the Blind and Insect Screen

The EuroVision window combines two functions:

  • block-out blind (from the bottom).
  • An insect screen (from the top).

You can slide both toward the center rail and clip them together using the magnetic strip or clasp to create different combinations:

  • Full privacy (blind only) – pull the block-out blind up and secure at mid-rail.
  • Insect-only mode – pull the screen down and clip to the mid-rail.
  • Half-and-half – clip both together in the center.

Adjusting Tension for Blind and Insect Screen

If your screen or blind does not retract properly or feels loose/tight, it may need tension adjustment:

  1. Locate the tensioning screws:
    • Found on the side rails of the blind and screen housing (behind caps).
  2. To Increase Tension:
    • Turn the screw clockwise a few turns until the blind or screen retracts smoothly with enough pull.
  3. To Decrease Tension:
    • Turn the screw counter-clockwise to reduce the pull force and slow the retraction.

Be careful not to overtighten as this can damage the internal spring.

Care Tips

  • Clean with mild detergent and water – avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Do not force the window open when locked.
  • Always check windows are fully closed and locked before travel.
  • Ensure the screen/blind isn’t caught in the frame when closing the window.
