How To Charge the Caravan via Shore Power, Generator, Solar panels, Towing Vehicle

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 0 views

Charge the Caravan from Shore Power

To charge your caravan quickly and effectively, plug the 15Amp power lead into the power inlet plug located on the driver’s side of the caravan. This is the most efficient way to charge the caravan’s battery within a short period of time, similar to the quick charging concept used in new energy cars. Just like how people talk about a 10-minute or 5-minute quick charge for electric cars, the shore power charge needs to be fast enough to top up the large battery capacity in the caravan. The caravan is equipped with a multi-stage battery charger integrated into the inverter, with a maximum charging rate of 30Amp at 48V.

Charge the Caravan from Generator

To charge the caravan using a generator, connect the 15amp power lead from the generator to the power inlet plug on the driver’s side of the caravan. The charging speed and capacity will vary depending on the generator you use. We recommend using a generator with at least 3000KVA capacity due to the size of the caravan’s battery. A smaller generator may not provide enough power to noticeably charge the caravan. For more detailed information, please refer to the generator section.

Charge the Caravan from Solar Panels

The caravan is equipped with solar panels covering the entire roof area. The built-in solar charger in the Inverter (CG 3.0) will automatically charge the battery whenever solar power is available. You don’t need to do anything except make sure the solar isolator is turned on. For more detailed information, please refer to the “Solar Charge & Solar Panels & All About Solar” section.

Charge the Caravan from Tow Vehicle

The caravan will be charged from the towing vehicle while you cruise on the road, more information refer to “Towing Charge Via “Anderson” Style Plug
