Overview:
Your caravan is fitted with the Aussie Traveller DC Door — a high-quality dual-panel door system offering ventilation, security, and convenience. This door features both a main outer door and a security screen door. It is essential to operate and secure both panels properly to ensure safety while travelling.
Key Operating Instructions:
- Opening from the Outside:
- Insert key and turn approx. 33° (left-hand hinge: anti-clockwise / right-hand hinge: clockwise) to unlock.
- Rotate the outer handle 45° to open the door.
- Separating Security Door:
- Only separate the security screen when the main door is open.
- Rotate the release lever to disconnect.
- Closing the Door:
- Firmly push the outer and security doors together.
- Ensure all striker catches engage correctly (top, centre, bottom).
- Locking for Travel:
- Lock both deadbolts inside.
- Use the external key to lock top and bottom bolts.
- ⚠️ Always confirm the door is fully locked before towing.
Maintenance Tips:
- Lubricate locks and hinges periodically.
- Do not attempt to rotate the handle when the door is open.
