Using Water System

Water Pump vs. Mains Water

Turn on the water pump when:

  • You’re using water from the caravan’s internal tanks (e.g. off-grid).
  • You want to use the sink, shower, or toilet while not connected to mains water.
  • You need to fill the hot water system before turning it on.

Important:
Always make sure the water pump is on before turning on the Swift Hot Water Service. Running it dry can damage the unit and void the warranty.

šŸ”Œ When not to use the water pump

If you’re connected to mains water at a caravan park, you do not need to turn on the pump. The mains pressure will directly feed water to your:

  • Sink
  • Shower
  • Toilet
  • Hot water system

This setup bypasses the tanks and pump.

šŸ”§ How to connect mains water to your caravan

  • Locate theĀ Snap-On connectorĀ behind theĀ driver-side wheel guard.
  • Attach your hose to this connection — it’s plug-and-play.
  • Once connected, water flows directly to your plumbing system. ItĀ does not fill your water tanks.

Tips

  • TurnĀ offĀ the water pump when not in use or when leaving the caravan unattended.
  • This prevents unnecessary battery drain and protects against leaks.
